Norwegian Marianne Theodorsen is 35 years old. She lives in Oslo with her hubby and soon also her baby boy will join them. She works with PR and social in fashion, and she loves good food, music, movies, flowers, late summer nights, and getting dressed in the morning (most of the time). Today it’s time to talk and ask this gorgeous mommy to be everything about her style, her pregnancy, and her beauty favorites.
How would you describe your own personal style?
Ever-changing. I tell myself “never say never”, and I love to have fun with what I wear.
How did you experience your first pregnancy?
It’s still surreal to me even though my due date is just around the corner. It truly is a miracle the whole process, but in no way do I feel that my body is a temple or that I’m a goddess or power woman or any of that sort. I’ve been struggling with fatigue, morning sickness, and back pain, but it could have been worse and it’s all part of the process I guess. I’m pretty relaxed about the whole thing…I think.
Did you change your beauty regime during your pregnancy?
I’ve had quite a few breakouts, so I’ve invested in some good anti-blemish serums and facemasks to cope with that. My favorites are the Gentle Cream Exfoliant from Dermalogica and the Pure Serum from Glossier. Pimples be gone!
What is your best-kept beauty secret during your pregnancy?
It’s not a beauty secret, but more of a beauty favorite I would say: I oil up my belly with the pregnancy oil from Estelle & Thild twice a day to keep the skin hydrated and improve elasticity. And oh…put some oil on your ladybits while you’re at it – lord knows they’ll need all the help they can get.
Can you describe the interior of your nursery in terms of style and theme? Are there any specific brands you used to decorate?
We live in a one-bedroom apartment, so the baby will sleep with us for the first year or so. I love the Stokke products, so we got him a little crib on wheels that we can move around the apartment.
Top 3 destinations to shop during your pregnancy?
The same as before I got pregnant haha. Høyer where I work has the most amazing selection of high-end and luxury brands, and it´s a daily struggle not to give in to temptation. I love spending a little extra on beauty now that I´m pregnant, so I frequently pop by one of the small individual perfumeries here in Oslo like Gimle or Heaven Scent. Also, I love Matches Fashion.
The top 3 websites you visit on a daily basis?
Other than the news I always check vogue.com, my Tumblr feed for outfit inspiration, and perezhilton.com (oh I´m a gossip kind of gal…)
Which fashion mom you look at for inspiration?
There are so many cool mums out there: Pernille Teisbæk, Emma Leth, Natasha Goldenberg, and Thora Valdimars are some of them.
What inspires you most in life and where do you find creativity?
Creativity is to be found anywhere if you just take the time to breathe and look. My friends and family are my biggest inspiration always – I’m so lucky to have them all in my life.
How do you stay healthy? Are there any beauty and lifestyle tips you would like to share?
Oh my gosh, I’m the worst. I never get into a good workout regimen, and I eat what I want when I want it. Enjoy life – that’s my best tip!!
